FARRINGTON David P., age 85, died peacefully on November 6, 2010. An World War II Army veteran, he served in the Pacific. Upon return he earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in Education at Syracuse University. His career included years of teaching in Bergen County schools, social work in Florida, longtime Associate directorship of the North Country Camps. For the past ten years he served as founder, President and trip leader for New Volunteers for Poland, recruiting and travelling to Poland to teach English to children. An avid sailor, his family and friends enjoyed many weeks of sailing throughout the Caribbean. He is survived by his former wife and companion, Janet, and his nephews Craig, Gary (Anne Brady), Kirk, Jon, Richard (Susan) and Robert. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
