Ladies and Gentlemen!

Old and frequently visited graveyard on Jeleniec Hill in Dobczyce has more than 40 ancient tombs covering remnants of our town's past citizens. The tombstones are in very poor condition and require immediate repairs.

Let us try to save at least few of them. To achieve this goal we have established the Citizens Comitee for Protection Of Relics in Dobczyce. We want to ask you for every possible, even small, support for our efforts.

At the beginning, we want to renovate the Angel, beatiful stone sculpture on Józio (Joseph) Dziama tomb. It was made in 1900. We have chosen it as the starting point of our Comitee's activity, because from all abandoned tombs, this one gets most attention from the graveyard's visitors.

In June 2001 we finished renovation of the Angel. Currently we are in the process of gathering resources for renovation of other ancient tombstones on Jeleniec cementery.
